I love the moon. Every night, it stays with me until I sleep.
Morning came. The moon was gone!
I missed the moon. “Don't worry, I’ll find you!”
“Little Bird, is the moon in your tree?”
“Not up here!”
“Butterfly, did the moon hide in the flowers?”
“Not in the flowers!”
“Little Caterpillar, did the moon fall into the grass?”
“Not down here!”
“Little Fish, is the moon in the pond?”
“Not in the water!”
“Kitty, did the moon climb onto the roof?”
“Not on the roof!”
“Big Horse, did the moon go to the mountains?”
“Not past the mountains.”
No moon anywhere. I was so sad.
Night came. The sky turned dark. And then...
“There you are!” The moon smiled, and so did I.
